Great location, clean rooms, free amenities.

Noisy rooms, expensive parking, outdated facilities.

With some of the mixed reviews about this hotel, I wasn't sure what to expect. What I found was an older hotel with a clean, comfortable room. The bathroom had been rennovated though the rug was still tired. The staff were very helpful, and the location is great.

If you are looking for a modern hotel with style, this is not for you. I got the last available room online and was stuck with a smoking room, which was ok but not great.

The bed was comfortable at The Latham Hotel - Downtown in Philadelphia. The location was great. Don't forget to visit the nearby Reading Terminal Market; they have the best coffee ever. One Liberty Observation Deck is within walking distance of the property. Special note of thanks to the clerk for their help.

Staff was GREAT and we appreciated our stay. Hotel is 15 minutes walk from reading terminal market. Very close to 30th Street train station, something around 20 minutes on foot.

Stephen the concierge was terrific; very helpful and friendly. We loved the location. The best part of our room was the bay window, a feature you rarely see these days in hotels. It helped make the room bright and sunny.

Only one elevator was working, and it was slow.

The location was perfect for our purposes: attending the Army - Navy football game and visiting with friends.

The furniture was tattered, the bed clothes thread-bare, and the other fixtures showed their age.

We love the proximity to downtown. The ease of access to the historic points of interest and the ease of shopping.

We requested a view ofthe square which is possible from the 13th or 14th floor room 07, however we could only get the 9th floor which couldn't quite make it. Also, the bed was terriblel. It sloped to the left and I kept sliding off. Needless to say I didn't get much rest.

Location in Center City was perfect! Unlimited in-out valet parking was very helpful.

Housekeeping was a problem, especially when they knocked on our door at 8:30 AM. The day before they never came.

Friendly, courteous, and helpful staff. Nice room size. Location near all city and historical sites (easy and safe to walk everywhere). When I booked, no non-smoking rooms were available. The smoking room I got was adequate (i.e. minimal, if any, smoke smell).

I'd called the hotel directly and requested a refrigerator in the room. It was promised, but when I arrived, none was available.

The hotel has some renovation going on but we were there on the weekend so construction noise wasn't a problem. The room was nicely decorated and had ample windows for the sun to lighten the areas.

The bathroom really needs a facelift. One window did not close completely so it allowed street noise - and 17th street is busy all night!
